Is microblading right for you?

Well, we have good and bad news. Let's start with the bad news: microblading isn't for you.

The good news? Our Signature Ombre is!

Many things in the beauty industry are not designed with darker skin tones in mind. Because of this, correct information can be hard to find! When looking for healed results of microblading, people of color may struggle to find examples on skin tones similar to their own. 

Because of this, we often see new clients with old microblading jobs that they're unhappy with. These clients have spent hundreds of dollars for minimal results because the strokes faded very quickly. 

One month fully healed.

We recently had a client come into Aphrodite's Secret who had a story to tell about her microblading experience. The business she went to insisted that she needed to come back for 4-5 sessions in order to have the desired results. But after just a few months, the strokes had completely faded and were no longer visible. This happens frequently with darker skin tones, but nobody had told her. She was shocked when we informed her that microblading isn't ideal for darker skin tones. Why hadn't anyone told her? All of her friends were looking for microblading and were all told the same things: you will need more sessions and more frequent touch-ups. 

This client was smart because she felt like something was off and stopped going. Instead of risking skin trauma from repeated microblading sessions, she looked into other options and found our Signature Ombre Brow.
